#Cidermonth

It’s that time of year when the spring sun is shining and the orchards are in bloom! What could be better than to enjoy a refreshing glass of cider or perry whilst enjoying the spring.

You can find out where to drink a great glass of real cider or perry in our Cider section.

Here at Central Manchester Camra, we’re getting ourselves ready for a couple of events coming up in the area:

Runaway Brewery 5th Birthday Bash*

Saturday 25th May – 3.30pm

*I know it is not technically a Cider event, but they’ve got some fantastic ciders coming – check out the tasting notes below

There are a limited number of tickets still available for this event so get yours quickly! This truly is a this unique mix of drinks and is unlikely to be repeated – some are sold out rarities – others not available in Manchester – some not on sale in UK.

If that’s not enough, then the very next day…

Fairfield Cider Fête takes place on Sunday 26th May at Fairfield Social Club, Archway 6, Temperance St, M12 6HR,

There are two sessions, one daytime (12pm-5pm) and one evening (6pm-11pm) session.

Fairfield Cider Fête is Manchester’s only dedicated craft cider festival, and you’ll be able to try over 90 ciders created by over 20 producers.

Ciders available will range from the traditional apple, pear, elderflower and even a lemonade perry.

GRUB have teamed up with Hogan’s Cider, to curate a line-up of ciders and producers including Ketish Pip, Turners, Pure North, Tiny Rebel and Cotswold Cider Co.

This year the cider will be accompanied by street food on site, so you can get fed at the same time as sampling the many ciders available.

You’ll have to get tickets for this event, but everyone is welcome including families and dogs. There are only 250 tickets available per session, priced £5.87.
